Ambient Heating

Seamless integration of ambiance and warmth

Holofires offers the option to add a high-performance ambiance heater, perfectly aligned with the fireplace’s design.

Because heat must not enter the holographic projection system, the electric heating element is placed externally. This ensures that the fireplace unit can always maintain a clean, minimal look, free from visually intrusive elements or technical limitations.

When the plinth heater is installed below the fireplace, warm air rises naturally, creating the impression that heat is coming directly from the fire – just like a real fireplace. Unlike systems that integrate the heater at the top, which limits heat output and complicates seamless installation, Holofires provides efficient and evenly distributed warmth.

If you choose a plinth-style ambient heater, it can be seamlessly integrated into the overall design, without compromising the aesthetic of the fireplace.
However, certain technical requirements must be respected, such as finishing with insulating and fire-resistant materials to prevent heat transfer to the fireplace unit and protect the electronics. In addition, a local supply of fresh air is essential for efficient operation of the heating system.

Installation is simple and flexible: the plinth heater can be placed separately within the design, enclosed in a fire-safe casing with an external air supply. This air must flow directly into the space where the plinth heater is located – for example, beneath the fireplace. This space can function as an air chamber, provided it is sufficiently large and allows for good air circulation.
Important: the air should ideally be drawn from outside or from an unheated room, not from the already heated space. This ensures adequate cooling and optimal performance of the appliance. A separate access hatch must always be provided for maintenance.

A new double-pole circuit breaker and a dedicated circuit are required to operate the heater.
Please note: both the circuit and the heating unit must be installed by a certified electrician.

Sound: the warm air is blown into the room through an airflow system. Although there is no official dB rating available, an online measurement indicated 56 dB at 1 metre from the air outlet – comparable to the sound of a normal conversation at average distance. This sound, generated by the airflow, is generally not disturbing, though it may be noticeable in quiet spaces.
